DoubleDodge Update #2

Hey, welcome to Devlog#2 of DoubleDodge !

I've recently decided to take a monthly challenge and publish each month something on itch.io, in order to improve my game design skills. For my second attempt (last month was unsuccessful), I've decided to remake a game I created on Unity a few years ago and put it on Godot. The goal was to add some music and some menus to have a first MVP (minimal viable product).

The idea of the challenge is that, each month I'll either create a POC (proof of concept) with minimal drawing and no music, just to test a new idea and do some playtesting before really implementing the idea. Or I'll create a MVP out of an existing POC. So this is the MVP for DoubleDodge. Maybe in the future, I will have a third category where I continue to develop the MVPs that were good, we'll see.

The goal is mainly to learn about game design and project management. Some things that are still hard for me are the management of the end of the project. When there are a few days left, I begin panicking and want to add all the functionalities I dream of, but since there are only a few days left, I can't and I become depressed. I need to stay focus on the task at hand and keep prioritizing on the most important features to add.

That's it ! Compared to DoubleDodge#1, I've added an energy bar, that allows you to choose whenever you increase speed, other having the game choose for you.

Cheers !
